Kunekune piglets are developing their personalities (or should that be, pigletnalities?)

At just about two weeks old, the Kunekune piglets are running around, playing, learning socialization behaviors, beginning to nibble on straw, and growing so fast that you can almost see it every time they nap. They are starting to show their individual characters, too. Tootsie is affectionate, Skittles is curious, Starburst is independent…and they’re all bright and cute and very much enjoying the process of discovering their world.

Kunekune piglets due in September

We are expecting more Kunekune piglets this September from our sow Maybelline and our boar Pavarotti. Piglets will be registered Jenny line (females) and Andrew line (males). We are now accepting deposits ($250), and the piglets will be ready to go to their new homes in November. Please email us at murphy-erin@comcast.net or call 530-913-9247 to reserve your piglet!

To learn more about Maybelline and Pavarotti, see Meet Our Pigs. To meet some of Maybelline and Pavarotti’s other piglets, see Buckeye, Poppy, and Daisy.

Piglet family at 5 weeks of age

Maybelline’s piglets are eating solid food now and mimicking their mama in every way, from grazing on the hay to cooling off in the pool. They love people and will even get up from a nap to come over and greet you. They enjoy being scratched, especially behind their ears, and they will flop happily on their sides to make it easier for you to rub their bellies.

These piglets are for sale! Please visit our Piglets Available page for more information.
